Resolutions: What Resolution?

Happy New Year.

A new year is a time of making resolutions. Most resolutions have to do with change. Change in most cases for something better. There is even a special day, a national holiday called New Year's Day, January first.

But what many probably don't know there is another day in January, though not a national holiday, January 17, also dedicated to all those New Year's Eve dedications and resolutions. January 17 is recognized as the day when most of those new promises and dedications about change peter out. Go kaput!  Zilcharoo.

Roughly 17 days, that's the average life span of these resolutions. January 17th is an annual thing just like New Year's. Look it up. It's a day to celebrate the laying to rest of all those good intentions. January has other holidays to celebrate like January 21, Martin Luther King Day, a national holiday,  but we won't distract you with those days for now.

There is a saying about it's better to be late than never. So in that honor we liked to be early and wish all of you not just Happy New Year, but also happy January 17.
